As the Christmas week begins tomorrow, Senator Ben Ayade (PDP Cross River North) and PDP 2015 governorship flag bearer has said that he has commenced the distribution of rice and other gifts across the 18 local government councils of the state.

The gesture according to the Senator is to perpetuate the tradition of giving and sharing which is associated with the season of Christmas. He encouraged Cross Riverians to take advantage of the various pickup centers and share in his happiness particularly at this Christmas period.

In a telephone chat with CrossRiverWatch, Senator Ayade said: “This should not be misconstrued as campaign. The fundamental principle upon which Christmas is predicated is sharing and giving. The spirit of the season requires every one of us to give out and share love and our happiness. It is to perpetuate that tradition that I am embarking on the distribution of rice across the 18 local government areas.

“The distribution is done through the LG Chairmen who represent the general public, the PDP Chapter Chairmen and the members of the State House of Assembly. These are the pickup points and people should take advantage of them and share with me in this period of Christmas.”

This is buying votes by dubious means. Why is Ayade doing this now and with whose money? The people are not hungry to be fed with just food. It’s time to stop deceiving the masses. I am very disappointed with what politicians are doing to win the votes of the masses yet enslaving them when they get into power. Let Cross River people get be wise up. They won’t continue to feed us with with our embezzled money. The same money that belong to the people they are using to feel good and wining votes. I’m So sorry and sad seeing how people are being deceiving and abused. Stop voting criminals, stop voting impositions. They should stop abusing the masses by feeding them with peanuts. How many homes will they continue to feed, and for how long? We need great and credible leaders to rule the state not criminals. Such an act of distributing food to paints themselves good before the people is abusive. Time to stop such an act of deceit.
Time to think what will benefit the state and the people, time to vote credible leaders not thieves and liars who go about distributing food to win the heart of the people. An act of charity is very good, but not with the motives of wining the heart of the people. You might have done it out of good conscience, but wrong timing. Time to vote credibility, not nonsense.

Hi Joseph I will advise u be mind full of the words u use in presenting your views to the world and who made you a judge and gift analyst for cross riverians? The nest time you address our senator with such nasty words like thieves and liars or deceit, I will take it personal and you must go a long way to prove it to the world. In fact am still thinking, as you may at least be required shortly to offer a policy. Pl be wined.
