CrossRiverWatch has gathered that a closed door meeting between Senator Ben Ayade, the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP governorship flag bearer in Cross River State and Prince Goddy Jedy Agba held yesterday in Abuja.

Findings by CrossRiverWatch reveal that the meeting is part of the continued effort by Senator Ayade to reach out to Jedy Agba to mend fences resulting from the contentous guber primaries which produced Ayade as winner of the ruling party’s governorship ticket.

The meeting which was scheduled for 6:30 .p.m. started a little late according to our source but was very cordial and convivial.

When CrossRiverWatch contacted Senator Ayade, he simply said the meeting was: “Brotherly, clinical and encouraging.” He added that the consultation will continue while Prince Jedy Agba also confirmed to CrossRiverWatch that the meeting held and was cordial and brotherly.“Yes, the meeting held and was cordial and brotherly. I am not fighting him (Ayade), so I have no problem holding a meeting with him. That does not preclude me from taking any further action.” He said. They both declined giving further details the meeting.

It will be recalled that the two principal actors have maintained communication since the party primaries but there are top gear preparations in the Jedy Agba camp for mass defections to Labour Party.

  • Peace is best . Politics is a game n players are gamblers. God is supreme . Let’s not forget that all is vanity. I thank God for this two brothers and all their good intentions. God bless their hearts, God bless CROSS RIVER STATE WITH THEIR DECISION

  • Cross River is a home of peace, let no man push our political gladiators to destroy the peace God has bestored on us. We urge our leaders to maintain their cool while politicking. Some followers want to be big boys by all means; so they want their principals to win at all cost.

  • Good 4 our polity

  • God knows
