PDP governorship candidate in Saturday’s governorship and House of Assembly election in Cross River State, Senator Ben Ayade has been declared governor elect by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
Ayade defeated his APC opponent, Odey Ochicha and Labor Party Candidate, Fidelis Ugbo with a landslide victory after the final collation of votes which were declared overnight in Calabar.
The PDP candidate who won in all the 18 LGAs of the state scored a total of 342,016 votes leaving Odey Ochicha in a distant second with a total of 53,983 votes while the Labor candidate, Fidelis Ugbo who also lost in his own polling unit, came third with a total of 36,918 votes.
