His Royal Highness, Muri Munene Effiong Okokon Mbukpa, the Paramount Ruler of the Efut nation (Calabar South) Cross River State has expressed high hopes that the incoming administration led by Senator Ben Ayade will do exceedingly better than the present administration of Senator Liyel Imoke.
The Muri Munene bared his mind in an exclusive interview with CrossRiverWatch recently. His word: “Well I think the incoming administration will do well because when they came visiting here during the campaign period, I did not see him come with sycophants, I rather saw him come with genuine investors and that shows sign of seriousness”.
He added that, “The incoming governor and his deputy I think they are brilliant persons: for the first time we are having such a combination of brilliance governing us and I think they will not want to, I repeat they will not want to do anything that will spoil the reputation and goodwill they have built for themselves over the years”.
HRH Mbukpa commended the governor elect for not depending on flatterers. “Again I salute the incoming governor for not depending on sycophants, and trying to makes sure he builds and bail the state from the doldrums we have been in: financial and political. If you listened, he said his slogan is politics of ethics, once you have ethics in anything, you know that it is integrity that follows”, he said.
Adding that, “I think they will do well if the resources in quote are available, he has done well in his private practice. He’s a multi billionaire. His deputy governor with his wealth of experience is a former Vice Chancellor, Minister, mention it, he is coming to offload them to better the situation of the state. I see a better future for Nigeria; he will build upon the legacies of Liyel Imoke and will surpass him that is what everybody prays for that whoever takes from me will surpass me”.
