The Commissioner of Police, Cross River State command, Henry Fadairo has tasked the Nigeria Police Secondary School Ex-Students Association (Police Ambassadors) executive members to lead by example and aspire within the ambits of the law.

He made the charge while speaking during the inauguration ceremony of the union exco to pilot the affairs of the association for the next two years.

The Commissioner of Police represented by the State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Hogan Bassey while addressing the new executives and other members urged them to follow the foot prints of prominent police officers in order to achieve their desired goals.

His words: “Let me quickly remind you of the words of a famous scientist, Isaac Newton who said if I have seen further it’s by standing on the shoulders of a giant”. Maintaining that members should see the new President as a giant and work with him accordingly.

The outgoing President, Amb. Ani Chukwu while delivering his valedictory speech expressed satisfaction and confidence in Amb. Agbor Etta as the new President, noting that Agbor humbly served as Vice President under his led administration ”I know he will deliver and make me proud” he said.

He further appealled to other members and the executives to give him the maximum support he needs to pilot the affairs of the association.

In his acceptance speech the new President, Amb. Agbor Etta said, ”As President, one of my goals is to interrogate our position and proposition before a wider audience that will help inform our administration by providing opportunities for self actualization to ambassadors who are entrepreneurs that are faced with uncertain future with understandable anxiety”.

He vowed that, “Ambassadors will partner with non-governmental and governmental organisations agencies in pursuit of its philanthropic objectives to our alma-mata especially building an excellent career life for both police children school and secondary schools respectively”.

High point of the event was the decoration of the new President and other executive members, accompanied with parades and official handing over.

Also present at the event was the Commandant P.S.S.C, Commander Mopol 11, Supol Duada, DPO Akim division among others.
