Cross River Governor, Senator Ben Ayade says he is impressed with the level of work done so far as the state prepares to welcome President Muhammadu Buhari for the groundbreaking ceremony of his signature projects.

Ayade made this known in an interview while on inspection tour of a portion of the super highway, a cleared site at the Cross River National Park in Akamkpa local government area which according to him will also serve as the venue for the groundbreaking ceremony.

He said “I am excited, challenged but fulfilled that somebody somewhere as high as the President of the super federal republic of Nigeria can understand and share in my dreams and aspirations to create a super highway that will also create that harmony between the northern and southern parts of Nigeria”.

Ayade who was in the company of heads of military and paramilitary agencies in the state further disclosed that everything is been put in place to ensure the event is fruitful and stressed that “we expect that the President will be impressed when he gets here”.

The groundbreaking ceremony as earlier reported by CrossRiverWatch is scheduled for Monday, September 21, 2015.
