Reports reaching CrossRiverWatch indicates that no emergency agency is yet to arrive at an accident scene between Adim and Abini in Biase local government area several hours after a vehicle plunged into a river.

A source on scene says the accident which occurred around 9 a.m. in the morning has caused traffic jam in that axis of the Calabar-Ikom highway with no emergency agency yet to appear on the scene up till the time of filing this report.

The source says the incident occurred when a tanker while manoeuvring on the road forced the driver of the smaller vehicle to veer off the road into the river with the vehicle and passengers yet to be found as at press time.

It is unclear whether any of the emergency response outfit has been notified of the event.

Our source who is at the scene of the incident says he is unable to send picture yet because of bad internet connectivity.
