A young man in his twenties was on Tuesday confirmed dead by authorities of the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, UCTH after being stabbed.
The deceased who was alleged to have engaged in a fight with one Iman (surname withheld) that afternoon between 2pm – 2:30pm at Asim Ikang, Big Qua, Calabar Municipality was stabbed on his left shoulder by his opponent.
The lifeless body of the deceased arrived UCTH at about 4:57pm in company of men of the Nigerian Police after been referred from the General Hospital, Mary Slessor because of the gravity of his condition.
