The Cross River State House of Assembly was Wednesday 11th, November 2015 morning, forced to truncate it’s plenary because of power blackout.

The blackout occurred while Hon. Hilary Bisong of Boki 2 State Constituency was addressing the House on the rationale and objectives of his bill; Cross River State Lottery Board Bill 2015.

The Speaker, Hon. John Gaul Lebo, in less than 3 minutes of waiting for alternative power source after the blackout which occurred at exactly 11:48am ruled that the House should adjourned till tomorrow Thursday 12th.

Earlier, because of poor attendance of members, the member representing Ogoja State Constituency, Hon. Peter Odey moved a motion for adjournment but was overruled by the House.

As at the time of filling this report, it was gathered that the generator of the Assembly is faulty.
