The Deputy Speaker, Cross River State House of Assembly, Hon. Joseph Bassey has lauded some of his constituents for donating fifteen (15) chairs and two (2) tables to his constituency officer at No. 12 Ekpo Abasi road, Calabar South.

He made the commendation after receiving the gift items maintaining that “no matter how small they might be, the intention is what counts, thank you for the kind gesture”.

Hon. Joseph who spoke through his Chief of Staff, Mr. Joseph Ante went on to reiterate his commitment to his constituents, promising that he will stop at nothing in carrying them along.

He advised his constituents to just “believe and more things will come”.

The leader of the five man group of donors, Mr. Nathaniel Ikpeme while presenting the chairs and tables maintained that, “We are doing this as our own little support to the constituency office which has been made more visible by its strategic location”.

He added that the items are just part of their commitment to the constituency office, “soon more steps will be taken to give the constituency office a befitting look, it is our own and we must support it so that it will work, others should emulate us”, he urged.

Other members of the group include Michael Adam, Bassey Johny, Asuquo Effiom and Ndabor Joseph.
