Cross River State Health Commissioner, Inyang Asibong says the Health Ministry under her charge will tackle quackery in the medical profession and partner with private medical practitioners to ensure quality health service delivery to the people.
Asibong says the Ministry will fight against acts considered inimical to the provision of better health and wellness of Cross Riverians such as consumption of fake drugs, incursion of uncoordinated free medical out reaches among others.
She made this known in her office in Calabar when she hosted the State Chapter of the Association of General and Private Medical Practitioners of Nigeria (AGPMPN) where she assured them of the government’s resolve to partner with them to ensure the improvement of the health and well being of the people.
Asibong in a release made available to CrossRiverWatch by her spokesperson, Cocobassey Esu, assured her visitors that the ministry will work towards the realization of their programs, aims and objectives as well as endeavor to strengthen their working relationship.
In his remarks, the State Chairman of the Association, Dr. Dan Abubakar, congratulated Dr. Inyang Asibong on her appointment as Health Commissioner and pledged their readiness to work closely with her and make significant contributions for her to succeed in office.
