The Speaker of Cross River the State House of Assembly, Hon. John Gaul Lebo has felicitated with the Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Professor Zana Akpagu on his elevation to the position of Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar.
Hon. Lebo made the remark recently in Calabar during the thanksgiving ceremony of the Vice Chancellor which held at the Saint Paul’s Catholic Church, Calabar.
He described Professor Akpagu as a humble and industrious man, whose name stood for quality, adding that the VC was an amiable administrator preceded by remarkable feats.
The Speaker charged him to engender sound academic environment in the University of Calabar as well as earnestly pursue human capacity development.
Hon. Lebo expressed no doubts in the ability and capacity of the new Vice Chancellor to position the institution as one of the best not only in the country but in Africa.
He assured the Vice Chancellor of the House of Assembly’s support for his administration, observing that the development of the University of Calabar was a concern of the House.
