Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State has again promised that the Calabar garment factory, one of his signature projects will be commissioned by the 1st of April, 2016.

The garment factory which was earlier scheduled to be commissioned within the first hundred days in office of Ayade’s administration has seen delays attributed to heavy rains and other natural factors.

But the Governor gave the new date yesterday at the site of the project when he went on an assessment tour to have a first-hand knowledge on the level of the work done at the site.

The project which is located along the Goodluck Jonathan By pass in Calabar, when completed, will produce fabrics for the production of uniforms of all kinds in the state and the nation at large.
