The Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly Hon. John Gaul Lebo has said that the Institute for Technology and Management (ITM), Ugep would fully kick off soon.
Hon. Lebo who made the remark recently during an over sight visit to the institute in Ugep, also said that serious measures were being taken to ensure that the school become optimally functional to meet the academic needs of the students.
He also called on the Rector of the institution to ensure that the Highbury curriculum was religiously followed as the school must meet international standards while assuring the management of the of the school of the Assembly’s commitment towards making the institution efficient, in line with the act establishing it.
The Rector of the school, Dr. W.G Pedley, thanked the Speaker and honorable members for their concern, observing that the Assembly’s role in the establishment of the Institution could not be over emphasized.
On the Speaker’s entourage to ITM Ugep were the House committee Chairman on Education, Hon Victoria Itam Abang and other members of the committee.
