Professor Yemi Osinbajo, Nigeria’s Vice President, has said that the Federal Government will soon commence work on the Lagos-Kano and Lagos-Calabar rail routes to boost economic activities within the nation.

Osibanjo, in his keynote address at the First National Forum on Economy organized by Vintage Press Limited, publishers of The Nation Newspapers, on Thursday, also disclosed that the government will also begin work on 31 major road projects across the country to ensure the nation’s economic revival.

The state of the nation’s economy has been of immense concern to every Nigerian, as economic activities have been at their lowest ebb, following the downward trend in the global oil market and the fall of the nation’s currency.

Also, the poor state of infrastructure, especially the epileptic power supply and fuel crisis have also led to Nigerians groaning, and praying for President Muhammadu Buhari administration to come up with a Midas touch that will lead to a major turn-around, as cost of living soars.
