A lecturer in the department of Computer Science in the Federal College of Education Obudu, Pastor Walter Ibe was abducted last night at his residence along Vintage way, Bekpam New Layout Obudu.
An eyewitness (names withheld) told CrossRiverWatch that Pastor Walter upon arriving his residence which is close to that of the eyewitness, “I spotted two men holding guns and as he drove into his compound they followed him and escorted him out into a vehicle where a third man was”.
Walter, CrossRiverWatch gathered, was abducted at about 9:20 p.m. and is the pastor in charge of a new generation church he founded located along the Kigem road where the defunct Mayfair clinic existed.
As at press time, CrossRiverWatch was yet to reach family members, as sympathizers and neighbours could be seen hovering outside his residence each narrating the incidence to anyone who cares to listen.
Pastor Walter, from his name appears to be a Cross Riverian from the central part of the state.
CrossRiverWatch also could not reach Police authorities for comments at the time of filing this report.
