One commentOn Ayade Appoints Professor Austine Angba Acting Rector, Institute Of Technology And Management, Ugep
I do not know much about the qualifications of Prof. Angba but by virtue of the information that “he was a lecturer in the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Calabar, Deputy Director Directorate of Research and Quality Assurance”, I suspect that he may not possession the right credentials (not a technology or management scholar) to head the Institute of Technology and Management.
The worst disservice anybody can do to any institution especially ITM, Ugep is to appoint someone who is not versed in technology and/or management field(s) to head it.
I urge both the governing body and governor to not place square pegs in round holes as they search for a Rector to head the Institute. They should appoint someone who is educated, knowledgeable, and who has worked in the areas of technology and management to the position of a Rector.
