The Minister of Sports and Sports Development, Solomon Dalong, on Friday June 3rd inaugurated the Main Organizing Committee, MOC of the National Sports Festival, Calabar 2016.
The inauguration which held in the Abuja office of the Sports Ministry had the Cross River State Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, Asu Okang and other members of the committee in attendance
The National Sports Festival dubbed ‘Paradise Games’ which was billed to hold since 2014 after the Eko 2014 festival in Lagos, has been bedevilled by repeated postponements due to lack of readiness of facilities at the various venues expected to host the games.
But with the inauguration of the MOC, the State Commissioner for Sports say, “With this, the ground is set for Cross River to host the nation from 8th to 21st November 2016. I have waited for so long to see this day [become] a reality!
