The Senior Special Adviser to Cross River Governor, Senator Ben Ayade on Public Affairs, Tony Undiandeye Sunday in Calabar traded tackles with environmental activists, Odey Oyama over issues surrounding one of the signature projects, the Cross River Superhighway.
Fielding questions on the radio program, “The Dialogue With Agba Jalingo” on Hit FM Calabar, Tony and Odey expressed diverse opinions on several issues from the allegations of land grabbing to due process and transparency in the dealings and award of contracts among others.
As expected, the fiery exchange which most times became very emotional saw Tony defend the position of the government on several issues even though he admitted the state had made mistakes in some of the processes.
On the other hand, Odey Oyama denied allegations that the activists were hustlers, accepted the implementation of the REDD+ program was faulty and commended the vision of the governor on the road project but insisted due process has to be followed.
The weekly program, anchored by Agba Jalingo and co-host, Jonathan Ugbal comes up every Sunday from 6 to 7 PM on Hit 95.9 FM, Calabar.
