The Panel of inquiry set up by Cross River governor, Ben Ayade to investigate the recurring communal crisis in the state has commenced sitting in Calabar.
The panel which has as its chairman, former deputy governor Efiok Cobham was inaugurated by Ayade to find lasting solutions to the issues surrounding communal clashes across the state began sitting Thursday.
The recent clash between Befre and Estong in Busi, Obanliku local government area brings the total number of communal clashes in 2016 alone to over 11 despite claims the state is the most peaceful in the country.
