National Vice Chairman, South South of the governing APC, Hilliard Eta has justified recent appointments made by President Muhammadu Buhari saying he has the discretion to choose whoever he deems fit to deliver on the change mantra.

In a statement by Eta in Calabar, the APC chieftain who is a member of the Presidential Committee for Reconstitution of Boards and Agencies said the recent appointment of members into the board of the NDDC by the President was justified as the President considered capacity and due process as against parochial sentiments.

He said those so appointed would certainly represent the interest of all who cannot make it adding that though the Presidential Committee could make its input but the President exercises his discretion in the best interest of the masses.

He congratulated the newly appointed Board members of the NDDC and urged them to make the development of the Niger Delta region a priority.

Eta also urged party members to be confident in the ability of the Buhari leadership to fix Nigeria.

It will be recalled that President Buhari had earlier nominated the leader of the 7th Senate, Senator Victor Ndoma Egba SAN as Chairman of the NDDC while former Deputy governorship candidate of the APC in the last general election, Mr. Sylvester Efefiom Nsa as the Commissioner to represent Cross River state on the board of the commission.
