Nairabet FC has emerged champions of the 3rd edition of the Comrade Odey Adamade Unity Cup football competition after beating FC Academy 1-0 in a keenly contested match at the Obudu Township Stadium.
Speaking after the match, Coordinator of the Competition Undeshi Major said that “This is the third edition of the competition and our aim is to develop local content and bring peace togetherness and unity and not violence to the people of Obudu’’.
The Coordinator said the competition provides a platform to bring people together and “appeal to all sons, daughters meaningful brothers of Obudu who are out there to join us in this agenda or project on how to bring Obudu people together by organizing something for the youth in their own little way”.
He went on to state that “Comrade Adamade Simeon Odey has sponsored the project alone without complaining and his next pet project now is how to help less privilege, widows and the physical challenge.
The competition is held yearly with teams across the 10 political wards of Obudu Local Government participating.
