Following the ranking of Hit95.9 FM Calabar as the tenth best station in Nigeria, the management of crossriverwatch.com, a leading online news portal in Cross River State has congratulated the broadcasting outfit urging it to soar for new heights.

In a statement signed by the Managing Editor, Jeremiah Archibong and issued Sunday in Calabar called on the staff and management of the media outfit to “Keep soaring for new heights.”

“We in CrossRiverWatch always believe in reward for hard work and the celebration of ingenuity, talent and skill positively utilized” the statement read.

The statement further read: “The ranking of Hit95.9 FM Calabar as the tenth best in Nigeria by radiomagazine.ng shows that you are delivering on your vision and role as a watchdog in the society as well as informing and entertaining Cross Riverians.

“That Hit95.9 FM Calabar was ranked that high ahead of broadcast outfits that have been in existence for so long also proves that it is not the time you started that matters, but how well you are doing it.

“We in CrossRiverWatch congratulate the staff and management of Cross River’s premier private radio station and urge them to continue to fly high and always aim to surpass your most recent performances as we all hope to expand the Cross River discussion. Discuss, dialogue and carefully sieve through dissenting views to ensure that Cross River State grows and develops.

    Hit fm, is it only secular music station? It lack educational oriented programme, like debate, quize competition, which has die down in thise our dear state, somtime it seem cross river dont have human resource, that can help develope the state, our radio station lack major news reporting from grassroot, like utuma, and umon community in Biase, which need the visitation of radio station to make it known to the government that millions of naira is leaving the state as a revenue to Akwa Ibom state, because of deaf ear of biase, Odukpani local government, how long shall this continue, timbers, plantain, so many goods are leaving this state to another state because of no road, bridge, no good government, does it mean this communities are not under cross River state? Let our radio station start goin around our community for grassroot discovering.
