Reports reaching CrossRiverWatch suggests that the wife of retired Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Joseph Mbu has been kidnapped.

As at press time, CrossRiverWatch confirmed from sources in the office of the State Commissioner of Police that Mrs. Mbu was kidnapped in her Calabar residence Tuesday night with little information concerning the issue.

The State Police Spokesperson, Irene Itoan was reluctant to speak on the matter.

Meanwhile, Police Commissioner, Jimoh Ozi-Obeh is scheduled to brief press men this (Wednesday) afternoon.
