Leader of the 7th Senate and Chairman of the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Senator Victor Ndoma Egba has dissociated himself from the multiple facebook IDs bearing his name.
CrossRiverWatch findings indicate that over 12 facebook identities have been cloned with the former Senate Leader’s name and pictures apparently by fraudsters who are possibly seeking for how to swindle the unsuspecting public.
But in a chat with CrossRiverWatch, Senator Egba said: “I think it became necessary that I issue that disclaimer so that the public will be weary of those who are trying to be funny. Beyond that, there were about 12 of those fake IDs with my name and pictures and though we have shut some of them and are still working to shut the rest, some are still there and we need to let the public know that.”
Senator Egba also wrote on his authentic facebook timeline to alert the public of the fraudsters and their antics.
“For the records I do not operate any other facebook account other than this. Do not accept any requests not coming from this page as fraudsters have opened accounts using my photograph. This is for the information of the public at large.”
