RESTRUCTURING: APC To Consult Cross Riverians In Uyo On Thursday

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said that it will engage the citizenry in Akwa Ibom, Cross River and Rivers state in Uyo on Thursday as part of its bid to to garner the public’s opinion on true federalism.

The committee on true federalism in a sponsored flier said it will be visiting the 6 geopolitical zones with Cross River to join Rivers and Akwa Ibom states in Uyo on Thursday, September 21, 2017.

The committee will engage the members of the public on issues bordering on creation and mergers of states, derivation principle, devolution of powers, federating units, fiscal federalism and revenue allocation the APC said.

Also, the form of government, independent candidacy, land tenure system, local government autonomy, power sharing and rotation, resource control, type of legislature and many other matters will be discussed.

The event will hold at the Amazing Grace Center in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state.
