Cross River Has No Rice To Show For 11 Billion Anchor Borrowers Fund – Social Critic, Ifere Paul

A social critic, Mr. Paul Ifere has alleged that the Cross River State government has no rice to show for the NGN11 billion it received from the federal Government for the Rice Anchors Borrowers Program.

Mr. Ifere made known his position while speaking as a guest on topical issues radio program, ‘The Dialogue With Agba Jalingo’ which airs live on Hit 95.9 FM Calabar every Sunday from 6-7 PM, where he also argued that the appointments made by President Muhammadu Buhari have impacted positively on the State.

Ifere said while other states in the country have already made millionaires out of the pogram, Cross River state was yet to do same.

He said the State has benefited more from being in the opposition than when the Peoples Democratic Party held sway at the federal level and maintained that more appointments were expected.
