Abandoning the Ikot-Ekpo Housing Estate in Calabar has been described as “sad” by a former Governor of Cross River State, Chief Clement Ebri, who stated that the Estate, if it was completed, would have opened up that area to more economic activities.
Chief Ebri made this remark while speaking to CrossRiverWatchTV recently in his Calabar home.
He disclosed that his administration had acquired the property from the federal government in 1992 for 2.4 million and had developed it to the stage it is now.
Chief Ebri added that what drove him to work on the estate and other projects across the state was his hatred for abandoned projects.
