PDP NASS Primaries: Ekpo Okon Masterminded My Attack – Gershom Bassey (VIDEO)

The senator representing Cross River South in the National Assembly, Gershom Bassey has accused a fellow aspirant, Mr. Ekpo Okon of masterminding the attack on him at the Transcorp Hotel on Wednesday.

Mr. Bassey made the accusation while addressing journalists at his residence where he alleged that Mr. Okon’s men attacked him while he was attending a meeting with the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) primaries election panel at the hotel.

Bassey who said he has since reported the case to the police, sued for calm from his supporters and expressed optimism that he will emerge as candidate when the primaries eventually hold.

At the time of filing this report, Ekpo Okon was yet to be reached for comment.
