The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State has inaugurated the new media team headed by techpreneur, Mr. Philip Obin as part of strategies for the 2019 general elections.
The committee was inaugurated by the State Chairman of the party, Matthew Achigbe on October 30, 2018.
And, Mr. Obin in a statement to CrossRiverWatch expressed optimism that the team will deliver on its mandate.
The statement read: “I am delighted to inform you of my appointment as the chairman of the directorate of new media, APC Cross River state 2019 general elections campaigns.
“I am indeed humbled and pledge to give my best, even as our success will be made possible largely by the formidable team I will be working with.”
Obin said the committee is comprised of, “some of the best digital media practitioners in Cross River state,” and stressed that the scope of the job, “covers in part, the projection and promotion of all APC candidates in the state: Governorship, Senatorial, Reps, State Assembly, as well as our presidential candidate, President Muhammadu Buhari.”
He sued for the public to track the activities of the committee on major social media platforms with trends including “#PMBx2, #JOE4CRS, #OwanIsComing and #NewCrossRiver.”
