The Cross River State Governor Senator Ben Ayade has postulated that “The Western world is the past, East Asia is the present and Africa indeed is the future. Therefore Africa holds a lot of promise to the world.”

Governor Ayade made the foreshadowing in Calabar yesterday while declaring open the Carnival Calabar and Festivals 2018 with the theme “Africanism”.

Buttressing his point he said, “Civilization started from Africa, writing started from Africa.” Maintaining that Africa as a continent is a gold mine.

Below are pictures from the carnival which had the like of Segun Arinze, Zack Oji, Shan George, Charles of the Johnson Family drama on African Magic and a host of other Nollywood stars present.
