The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has today begun a three-day training of Ad-hoc Staff across the Eighteen Local Governments Areas of Cross River State.
Resident Electoral Commissioner of the State, Dr. Frankland Briyai said the training is to recruit adequate manpower to support the Commission’s staff for the effective conduct of the forthcoming general election.
Earlier this month, INEC had recruited over five thousand support staff, across the State, comprising of Corp Members, Ex-Corp Members, Students of tertiary institutions, Staff of Federal Agencies, among others.
The training which will run till the 31st day of January is to avail the trainees the much needed information to conduct a free, fair and credible election.
