Our correspondent has just reported that a team of INEC staff, observers and security personnel are stranded on the high sea on their way to Bakassi to conduct election.

According to one of those stranded who pleads anonymity, “We have been stranded here for over four hours, we have called our headquarters for help but till now no form of help has arrived. We are here with election materials, the driver said he doesn’t know the road and we are just waiting for help”.

As at press time efforts to get words from the INEC head office Calabar wasn’t fruitful.
