Our Correspondents reports in the polling unit of the Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Prosecution, Chief Okoi Obono-Obla (Enang Ubi Compound), Ijiman-Ugep, with polling Unit Code 002 tension ensued when the INEC officials discovered that the voter register meant for the polling unit has been mistakenly exchanged for another.
At ward 4, unit 003 Calabar Municipality some of the electorates are complaining of not seeing their names of the voters register and sometimes the card reader fails due to network.
In Obudu (Government secondary school) pollin unit 001 voting is ongoing and peaceful. While in Odukpani, Ikot Effiong Otop village election is ongoing peacefully with massive turnout.
At Asanaya Palace Akpabuyo voting paused because of faulty card readers. In Bakassi card reader is malfunctioning with complains of some not able to find their details in their polling units.
Up until now (12:46pm), materials are yet to get to some polling unit in Iyamoyong, Okumitet, Iyamitet, and Mile one all in Obubra where the INEC office is located. Also the materials for presidential position are not complete.
A fight is said to have broken out at Iyamoyong. Police have thrown teargas to disperse the crowd. One Mr. Maurice who rumor has it is the PA to Owan carried the materials into his car to move them to Iyamitet, but the opposition, attack him and his windscreen are broken.
