Former Chairman of Bakassi LGA and Cross River State Security Adviser in Charge of the Southern Senatorial district, Mr. Ani Esin, has been abducted by gunmen from his Calabar home.

CrossRiverWatch gathered that the gunmen stormed his home around 3am this (Tuesday) morning and forcefully dragged him out and beat him up for over one hour in his premises before taking him away.

The State police spokesperson, ASP Irene Ugbo, is yet to respond to our phone calls.

A family source however told CrossRiverWatch that “from the exchange between him and the guys that were beating him, whatever they have with him is political.”

The story is still developing and CrossRiverWatch will bring you more details.
