Former Governor of Cross River State, Senator Liyel Imoke has casted his vote in his hometown at Ward 1, Unit 09, Government Primary School, Eminebom, Abi Local Government Area.
Senator Imoke arrived at exactly 12:12pm without his wife, Mrs. Obioma Imoke and voted at exactly 12:18pm.
There were slight hitches during his verification exercise as his right thumb and right index fingers couldn’t be read by the smart card reader. However, his left thumb was read and he was allowed to vote.
While speaking with CrossRiverWatch shortly after voting, Imoke who was the Director General, Operations of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential campaign council said he is sure of victory for his party.
“Cross River is always PDP,” Imoke said and was indifferent to questions bothering on voter apathy even as he assured party faithfuls and supporters that victory is assured for the party.
