The member representing Bakassi in the Cross River State House of Assembly, Hon. Ekpo Ekpo Bassey has lost his mother.
Obongawan Ekpa Edem Robert gave up the ghost on 3rd May, 2019 at Asi Ukpo Diagnostic and Medical Center (AUDM) Calabar.
Though having suffered from a protracted illness she was a dedicated Christian worshipping with Methodist Church according to Hon. Ekpo.
Mrs. Robert age 71 is a retired Principal Community Health Worker that served in many Primary Healthcare Centers across the State.

According to Hon. Bassey, “The burial plan will be ready after May 29th but to God be the glory for the life well spent.
“We can’t turn back the hands of time, we will miss her. She walked in there sound in health for her normal routine check and the next day she left us.” He said.
