The Governor of Cross River State, Senator Ben Ayade has hinted that he will be appointing Commissioners for Defence and Foreign Affairs, in his second term.
Governor Ayade made this revelation yesterday while speaking during the Valedictory Service organized to mark the dissolution of the 2015-2019 executive members at the Exco Chambers, Governor’s Office in Calabar.
The Governor who prides himself in vast intellectual prowess, said though he may be downsizing his “food on the table” policy appointees, “these new ministries are strategic to help refocus my government for the next four years and it will give me the time to monitor all ongoing project,” he said.
It will be recalled that Governor Ayade, in his first term had 28 ministries including new ones he created like, Ministry of New Cities Development, Ministry of Climate Change, Ministry of Social Development Goals, Ministry of International Donors and Cooperation, Ministry of Infrastructure Development, Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Ministry of Gas Resources among others.
