The returned Governor and Deputy elect of Cross River State, Senator Ben Ayade and Professor Ivara Esu has outlined a week-long series of activities in readiness towards May 29, 2019 swearing-in.
The programs which kick Governor Ayade and Deputy Ivara Esu attending a Ju’mat prayer service Friday, May 24th, 2019 at the Calabar Central Mosque, Calabar Road by 1:00pm.
Thanksgiving service at St. Charges Lwanga Parish, Essien Town Calabar on Sunday, May 26th, 2019.
The elected officials shall also be at the U.J. Esuene stadium for the 2019 Children’s Day Celebration on Monday 27th, 2019 by 8:00am.
Novelty Football Match between Cross River State Executives and House of Assembly Members on Tuesday May 28th, 2019 at the U. J. Esuene Stadium by 8.00am.
“Valedictory Executive on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at the EXCO Chambers by 1.00pm and Nkukwak Command Performance same day at Cultural Centre Main Bowl, Calabar by 3:00pm.
Tuesday activities shall conclude with a valedictory dinner in honour of their Excellencies, by the Special Advisers on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Transcorp Hotel, Calabar by 7.00pm.
Note that the Valedictory dinner according to the report is strictly by invitation.
However, on Wednesday May 29th, 2019 is the swearing-in ceremony and inauguration will hold at U.J Esuene stadium by 10:00am
Recall that Governor Ayade of PDP polled 381, 484 votes to win APC and SDP who polled 131, 161 and 4, 818 votes respectively in the just concluded February 23rd Gubenatorial election.
