Jungle Justice: One Burnt Others Escape In Calabar South

An unidentified male suspected armed robber has being set ablaze by aggrieved youth along whitehouse by Nyong Edem street in Calabar South Local Government Area of Cross River State.

The suspect was said to have been larch at early hours of Wednesday morning by aggrieved youth while other members of his gang escape.

According to eyewitness that spoke unmentioned he said “the gang stormed the area at night, harassed residents and collect valuables from them and on their escape one of the robber was nab by youth in the area and burnt.”

Another reacted that “we have no rest in this community, every time robber attack us, snatch phones, rape our sisters and kidnap people, that is why even you steal maggi and you are caught, you will be set on fire. Here in this place they have burnt up to seven persons and still they don’t want o stop.”

Resident has however called on Government to look into the situation by providing homeland security and vigilante.

As of the time of filing this report the remains is still on the middle of the road while security personals are yet to come to the scene.
