Reactions keep greeting the Wednesday appointment of 90 aides including a suspected sexual offender, Mr. Edet Okon Asim and Simply Benjamin also known as ‘G1’ – an ex militant who, alongside his colleagues in the Bakassi Strike Force recently dropped arms made by Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State.
Among them is one by Mr. Anthony Bissong who suggested that the Governor haven won best Governor award, he deserves to be awarded Grand Comedian of the Federal Republic.
See his opinion below.
It is now very obvious that no Governor keeps his Citizens busy like our own Sir Benedict Ayade. Every politically conscious person in the state has been busy with latest appointment update in what appears to be another appointment bazaar a.k.a Food on the table.
Interestingly, some high profile politicians who have featured prominently in the state political space were this time not left out of the ‘Silver and gold have I none but such as I have’ kind of portfolios.
Imagine positions like;
Special Adviser, Callywood
Special Adviser, New Media
Special Adviser, Constructions
Special Adviser, Diaspora
CRS Management Board for Cassava, Banana, Maize, Rice, Livestock etc. Then comes the Equal Opportunity Committee. Chaiiiiii.
Almost all Nigerian Newspapers has offered His Excellency Governor of the year award, it’s time for him to bag Comedian of the year award or properly put Grand Comedian of the Federal Republic GCFR.
Cross River State, we hail there!
