COVID-19: Cross River HOLGA Forum Donate N900,000,000 To State Government

Forum of Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA) in Cross River State has donated nine hundred million naira (N900,000,000.00) only to the State Government.

The donation meant to support the Government in combating COVID-19 pandemic was contained in a letter with reference number CRS/FOHOLGV/A/01/VOL.1/222 dated April 10, 2020 instructed that fifty milion naira (N50,000,000.00) be deducted per Council to total N900,000,000.00 only.

The letter exclusively obtained by CrossRiverWatch carried a mandate for the deduction to be done as soon as possible.

The State Government has been receiving support in cash and kind running into millions of naira, though it is yet to record any case but there have been speculations about possible cases in the State.
