JUST IN: Mob Lynches Suspected Armed Robber In Calabar

At least one suspected robber has died after been lynched by a mob Monday night in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.

The lunching occurred close to Rabana roundabout, a few kilometers away from the Governor’s office.

The victim is said to have been a member of a 3-man robbery gang who stormed Sunnytex supermarket around 8:00PM.

According to eye witness, the suspects were about to escape when someone in the shop raised alarm. Residents and passers-by were said to have mobilized and chased after them. While one of them fled, two were nabbed and beaten to pulp with one dying at the spot.
