The administration of Sen. Ben Ayade in Cross River State has recently been criticized over the deplorable state of roads in the State capital, Calabar.

CrossRiverWatch TV in this two part special report, assessed major roads in Calabar Municipality. Residents and indigenes who spoke to our crew expressed dissatisfaction over the maintenance attitude of Government.

With the present condition of city roads in Calabar Municipality which houses both Federal and State roads, what does residents, motorists, and commuters want?

After pouring out their hearts, CrossRiverWatch TV crew headed to Federal Ministry of Works and Housing where Engineer Bassey Nsentip, Controller of Works, Cross River State.

Attempts to get the Cross River State Government to respond on its effort to ameliorate the sufferings of commuters, was not successful. The Director Civil, Cross River State Ministry of Works, Engineer Godwin Ukeke angrily referred CrossRiverWatch TV crew to the Commissioner for approval else he will not comment.
