CrossRiverWatch has confirmed that one person has died after a building collapsed at the Ayade Industrial Park in Calabar earlier today, Monday.

It was not immediately clear what caused the collapse of the building which is next to the Cross River Rice Seeds and Seedlings Factory (Rice City) along the Goodluck Jonathan By Pass but our source says the body of the deceased man has been evacuated from the location.

There has been complaints of construction with sub-standard materials going on at the industrial park even from officials of the Ayade administration and today’s incident confirms the fears raised by those complaints.
