The member representing Obudu/Obanliku/Bekwarra federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Legor Idagbo has explained that the unavailability of white collar jobs is the reason why he empowers his constituents with skills from time to time.
Mr. Idagbo stated this Wednesday in his native Ijibor, Bekwarra Local Government Area where he doled out cars, tricycles, motorcycles and grinding machines to party supporters and constituents across the three Local Government Areas that make up the constituency.
He also said this was possible due to his position at the parliament where he sits as Chairman of the committee on local content, a political favor from the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, whom he said Governor Ben Ayade gave him the nod to support while he was gunning for the position.
Beneficiaries were drawn from the 30 political wards that make up the three Local Government Areas of the constituency.
Notable among this is the Ogoja branch of the Nigerian Bar Association, which covers the five Local Government Areas of northern Cross River.
