Residents of Essien street in Calabar South Local Government Area of Cross River State are currently battling to put out a fire that is razing properties in the area.
A lady who simply gave her name as Ntiero called CrossRiverWatch newsroom mistaking it for Cross River Fire Service.
“Is this Cross River Fire Service? My house is on fire at Essien street in Calabar South,” she said.
“My house has burnt down but please call them to save other houses,” she pleaded on phone with a wail.
A Facebook user, Okorn Nice also solicited for help on Facebook for what seemed the same incident.
CrossRiverWatch newsroom has since placed a call to the State’s fire service and informed the firefighters at the Margaret Ekpo International Airport about the incident.
