A day-old baby has been found lifeless in a waste bin around the Calabar-Calabar roundabout late Tuesday night.
The baby who was already dead when The Parchment reporters arrived at the scene was suspected to have been abandoned there by the mother after delivery close to the Navy reference hospital.
A scavenger of condemned iron popularly called who noticed the baby while scavenging for pieces of metals, raised an alarm that attracted the attention of those around the neighborhood.
The identity of the perpetrator of the act is yet to be known at the time of this report.
