Our newsroom has just confirmed that it was a false alarm that there was an attempt to kidnap the resident (name yet to be confirmed) in satellite town, Calabar Municipality in Cross River State.
The incident supposedly occurred occurred penultimate Wednesday at about 10:30 pm.
Contrary to an earlier report that the kidnappers attempted crossing from UNICAL waterways into Ekpo Okon street where their target resides was a misinterpretation of sight of armless people going about their business.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Irene Ugbo has debunked news of the said kidnap attempt.
