In that my former abode for 34 days, where I was held in chains, in the middle of the night, you will be brought out and shown your gallows with a promise of death in the dark of the night where – Peter and Ela will not be there.
You will be given the chalice and the bitters. You will be pummeled and treated like the scum of the earth and – Peter and Ela, will not be there.
Your cries for mercy with ring like pleasant music in ears of those who are taught never to have mercy but only the owls of the night will hear your cries yet – Peter and Ela will not be there.
Because you cut shut one of their own, the bile of his comrades in arms will be unleashed on you without mercy and even the ones off duty will return to take a bite when the cell gate is locked, but Peter and Ela will not be there.
Family and friends who did not send you on any murderous mission, running hippity-hop, with tearful eyes and wrinkled emotions in search of a far fetched panacea yet – Peter and Ela, will not be there.
You will have a date with the wig on the bench. But that will be after you have been reduced to what you didn’t bargain for yet Peter and Ela will not be there.
Murder in the day my Lord. Tamper justice with mercy dear Lord, thou shall plea, but those who sent you on this journey to Golgotha will be fighting for votes with another set of foolish bunch, and Peter and Ela, will not be there.
The jail door and tall walls of Afokang await you. A new world were even elephants are controlled by ants, where Marshall’s word is disobeyed at your own peril, yet Peter and Ela will not be there.
In the loneliness of the prison nights, the bed bugs and masters of the night will remind you of your astute foolishness and your tears of agony will wrench your cheeks in meekful attire, yet Peter and Ela will not be there.
Those who deceived you, will pick your calls and those of your family members when they like and feed you with lies of how much effort they are making and give you false hopes of freedom that is neither nigh nor far, yet Peter and Ela will not be there.
They will send a few stacks of cash to your starving family and hope that it will give them some relief while you languish in folly, yet Peter and Ela will not be there.
The DPP is always not in a hurry to give advice and then your story of uncertainty will just have begun, still Peter and Ela will not be there.
My honest advice to you young political followers and gangsters, don’t let the vain aspirations of desperate politicians who seek power only for their own gain and ego to mislead you.
Do not sacrifice your future or abridge the future of another for scoundrels who want power only to masturbate their over size egos, because when the chips are down, Peter and Ela will not be there.
